Keith Waterman, who entered the industry as a bingo checker and caller in 1974, is so confident that he has just taken control of a new bingo club in Cambridgeshire, reports the Cambs Times.
He said: "Bingo is my life and I still believe there is a future for it. By modernising this club, I think I have a good chance of success."
The entrepreneur's family first invested in bingo in the 1960s. Mr Waterman believes veteran players are still flocking to bingo clubs nationwide for the same reasons as ever - to meet up with old friends and make new ones.
