Alfresco session for Canadian bingo club

Canadian bingo session takes to the park

American bingo fans take to the park

Bingo fans in the Canadian town of Orléans have decided to give their local gaming sessions an alfresco theme, taking their favourite hobby into the nearby park.

According to reports from the Canadian publication Orléans EMC, the community of local players have moved their weekly bingo games to the Cumberland Park, in order to enjoy the landscaped scenery.

The inaugural event saw 80 bingo fans gather in the morning to compete for $500 (£322) of prizes, donated by local businesses in support for the event. The bingo session, which is touted to be a regular event, was set in a purpose-built park, which features a scented garden, a life-sized chess board and a waterfall.

A bingo club community

Although it's not just Canadian bingo fans who are getting in on the community spirit and last month saw a unique charity bingo session in Brierley Hill. The Alice-in-Wonderland themed bingo session was in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity, with proceedings from the event going to the organisation.

Continuing with the charity theme, Buckingham Bingo has donated over £20,000 to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer group. Our clubs across the United Kingdom regularly hold events to raise money for the organisation, including a sponsored head-shave and leg-waxing session.
