Charity begins at Buckingham Bingo
Buckingham Bingo supports Breakthrough for Breast CancerBuckingham Bingo sees more than 1.7 million visitors pass through the doors of its 11 luxury bingo clubs every year.
With such an outstanding turnout on its cards, Buckingham Bingo has just agreed a two-year fundraising partnership deal with charity Breakthrough for Breast Cancer, and aims to raise at least £20,000 during the first year.
Breakthrough for Breast Cancer is the UK’s leading charitable organisation in fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and raising awareness.
The official fundraising week for Breakthrough for Breast Cancer throughout the Buckingham Bingo group will be 18th-24th October, however each of the bingo clubs will raise money year round for the charity.
Regular Events
Regular themed events will take place in an attempt to ensure the £20,000 target is reached. One event scheduled to take place later this year is a 22 mile sponsored walk, which will see Didsbury’s Buckingham Bingo Assistant Manager, Mark Winrow, don a pink top hat and tails, joined by other members of staff.
Buckingham Bingo clubs are already selling Breakthrough for Breast Cancer lapel badges throughout their numerous venues, and raising money via a series on games and in house events.
Buckingham Bingo’s CEO, Andy Cunningham, said of the partnership, “We are delighted to be supporting Breakthrough for Breast Cancer because of the great work it does in its field. I am very confident that Bucky will far exceed the total we have set for ourselves and I am so pleased the way the staff have bought in to the fund raising.”
