Buckingham Bingo staff go back to school

Buckingham Bingo gives away thousands with school promotion

Buckingham Bingo clubs go back to school

We're sure parents around the country will be rejoicing now schools are reopening and taking the kids off their hands, but three bingo clubs in Manchester have taken that excitement to the next level.

A special bingo promotion was held at Buckingham Bingo venues on Tuesday August 31st to celebrate the beginning of the new school year, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Members from Middleton, Trafford and Walkden came along to play bingo games with a back to school theme. On offer to the lucky winners was £3,000 in shopping vouchers – perfect for those quiet mornings and afternoons in without the children getting under your feet!

Three customers walked away with £1,000 each in vouchers, and the atmosphere was as great as those fondly-remembered last days of term! Even Buckingham staff got in on the act, entering the spirit of things by dressing up as schoolchildren!

Great fun to be had with Buckingham

Bingo is enjoyed by people of all ages, as is evidenced by the enthusiast who recently reached the ripe old age of 100. Violet Wright clocked up a century on August 3rd 2010, and admitted that she still finds time to dib and dab a bingo card at her retirement home.

However, when it comes to divulging the secret to a long life, Violet admitted to the Burton Mail that there is nothing to tell. She said: "I've had so many highlights in my life and I couldn't tell you what the secret to a long and happy life is, as I'm not sure."
