Bucky Bingo, the online bingo division of Buckingham Bingo, is in the running for a prestigious award.

The portal will contest the Site of the Year category in the fourth annual WhichBingo UK Site of the Year competition, which is the biggest event of its kind in the country.

Members of the public decide who gets to walk away with the top honour.

Online voting is now underway in the bingo competition and the final results will be announced in January 2010.

In the meantime, Phil Fraser, founder of WhichBingo UK, has paid tribute to the online bingo industry.

"This has been another huge year for online bingo," he said. "This year has seen everyone in the industry push the envelope with innovative new ideas, fantastic promotions and excellent player service.

"Our awards give players a chance to voice their appreciation for the sites they feel deserve recognition for their achievements."

Online bingo site re-launch

It has been an exciting year for Bucky Bingo with rising visitor numbers going hand in hand with the re-launch of the online bingo site in August 2009.

The new-look homepage makes it simpler to get around the site while the subtler shade of pink used is far easier on the eye.

There is plenty of substance behind the style too thanks to the addition of regularly updated news and blog stories keeping players up to date with the latest from the world of online bingo.

Meanwhile, an upgraded Club Finder section boasts handy overviews of all the key features of each Buckingham Bingo club � perfect for at-a-glance comparisons.
