Preston club manager recalls 'unbelievable' win

A lucky Buckingham Bingo player has just become �50,000 richer after scooping the Bucky Bullseye jackpot - the third winner in just ten days.

Buckingham Bingo Preston has announced that one of its loyal regular players won the breathtaking top prize on the evening of Friday, August 14th 2009.

Under the rules of the Bucky Bullseye, of course, everybody else in the club is awarded a �50 payout of their own to mark the momentous occasion.

And the Buckingham Bingo club in Preston was no different as it generously gave cash prizes to a total of 260 other players.

The 69-year-old winner follows hot on the heels of a 64-year-old lady who won at the same Buckingham Bingo club on Tuesday, August 4th.

No fewer than 192 fellow players received a bonus prize of �50 that time.

And as regular Buckingham Bingo players will know only too well, there was another win on the same day when four players split the jackpot in Corby, Hunts Cross and Trafford.

Buckingham Bingo Preston general manager Noel Egan has spoken about the moment the club struck gold again.

"Nobody could believe it," he said. "Suddenly number 50 was called on the Bullseye game and we had a winner. To win the game twice in ten days is unbelievable.

"This must be a lucky club. That is the fourth Bullseye jackpot we won in the last 12 months."

Preston city centre was home to the first ever Buckingham Bingo club.

Built in 1970, the branch proved immensely popular with local players and paved the way for more bingo clubs to open in places such as Peterlee, Huyton and Bootle.
