Buckingham Bingo Huyton reveals National Game winners
Huyton's bingo-ing mad for the National GameIt's always a great occasion when someone wins on the National Game, so imagine what it's like when your club produces two winners in five days.
That's exactly what happened to players at Buckingham Bingo Huyton, where a major payout late last month was followed by an even bigger prize within the week.
Buckingham Bingo Huyton members thought they had seen something special when one of their own won £4,279 on the National Game on Friday, 25 September 2009.
But the following Tuesday, players were left open-mouthed when another gamer got lucky during an afternoon session and walked home £6,953 richer.
The National Game and Buckingham Bingo
Veteran bingo fans will know all about the National Game and its remarkable cash prizes.
Launched way back in the mid 1980s, it has gone from strength-to-strength by offering bingo club members the chance to scoop national prizes of up to £25,000 and regional prizes of around £2,000.
Bingo clubs from across the UK participate in the National Game and it just so happens that Buckingham Bingo has developed an enviable reputation for producing big-money winners over recent months.
As a case in point, two National Game wins were recorded at Buckingham Bingo Preston in late August.
And a Buckingham Bingo Peterlee member picked up £4,034.13 after calling on 48 numbers on Monday, 24 August.
Amazingly, if she had been in a position to call just one number earlier, she would have been in line to win thousands more by taking a share of the enormous national jackpot.
