Retired mother-of-three claims £50,000

Some people would know automatically what they would do if they claimed a large cash prize. A holiday, a car, a new wardrobe – these things would all be top of the list. However, the latest recipient of the Bucky Bingo car has no idea what to spend her winnings on, admitting she is still in shock over her success.

56-year-old Veronica Howarth has been visiting the Buckingham Bingo Preston club for 20 years and has finally scooped the jackpot prize. She picked up the £50,000 Bucky Bingo fund after calling on 50 numbers. The other 92 players in the club would have been pleased for Veronica, as her win meant they picked up a £50 bingo bonus each as well.

Veronica visits the club two or three times a week and has confessed that she has no idea what she will do with the money, other than share it with a friend. She has three children and is retired, so it may be that a luxury holiday is the order of the day!

The luckiest seat in Preston

What's spooky about Veronica's win is that she was sitting in the exact same seat as last month's Bucky Bullseye winner. Out of the club's 902 seats, Veronica marched to victory in the one occupied by the retired 78-year-old gentleman who picked up the £50,000 prize in April.

This comes after two Preston players scooped the jackpot within days of each other last year – proving Preston is a very lucky club indeed!
