Woman picks up close to �30K in bingo scoop

A 49-year-old woman from Workington has become the latest punter to win big at a bingo club after picking up a large jackpot this week.

The Times and Star has reported that Diane Stagg pocketed a cool �29,002 after her numbers came in at her local club. The ambulance worker now plans to spend her winnings on a trip to Las Vegas in order to celebrate her 50th birthday.

Ms Stagg is not the only big bingo winner in recent weeks. Indeed, a number of players with Buckingham Bingo pick up big prizes every day. One person celebrating is the 71-year-old Preston woman who has just bagged a cool �50,000 at a Buckingham club.

The club, located on Tithebarn Street, has proved to be one of the luckiest in the UK, with six members taking home the �50,000 Bucky Bullseye jackpot in recent months. This prompted Buckingham Bingo Preston assistant manager Sandra Adams to claim that the venue was "the luckiest club in the north west".

Interestingly, the Tithebarn Street branch has seen a number of big wins take place on a Tuesday, suggesting that mid-week is a particularly good time to play.
